Family Supervision Experts

We provide structured, professional support for families navigating contact arrangements and complex family circumstances. Our service focuses on creating safe, calm and well-managed environments where children and families can maintain meaningful connections while ensuring everyone involved feels supported and respected.

Collectively having over 50 years of social work experience, we have worked with a vast range of complex family matters, promoting positive outcomes and often exceeding expectations.

We understand that situations involving family contact can often be sensitive and emotionally challenging. Our approach is centred on professionalism, discretion and clear communication, ensuring that every interaction is handled with care and understanding. By providing a neutral and supportive setting, we aim to make contact arrangements as positive and constructive as possible for both children and adults.

At Simax Care, we work with families, guardians and professionals to facilitate supervised contact and provide guidance throughout the process. From the initial conversation through to structured contact sessions and reporting where required, our team ensures that arrangements are managed safely, fairly and with the wellbeing of the child at the centre of every decision.

Our role is not only to facilitate contact, but to offer reassurance, structure and a steady point of support for families during times that can otherwise feel uncertain.

Bertie

Collingwood Primary School

I was delighted to hear that there has been a discussion around Bertie working with Looked After Children. As you know, sessions with Bertie have become a regular feature of life at Collingwood and the children always look forward to seeing him.

The sessions have been very important for our children with emotionally-based school avoidance and give them an anchor around which to start their week, build positive experiences and improve attendance. For our children on child protection plans, the sessions have cemented relationships with key staff and enabled check-ins and direct work easier. For children who see Bertie as part of a package of wellbeing interventions, we have found that they improve resilience and self-esteem. The children have also had noticeable improvement in speaking and listening skills and their overall focus has improved with regular sessions.

Even for children not visited regularly by Bertie, we find that being able to wave or say hello to Bertie as he passes can lift the overall mood of a class and also gives children nervous of dogs a positive experience to help them overcome their fears. Bertie has always proven himself to be gentle and good-natured, even when unexpectedly faced with children who are struggling to regulate their emotions.
